Aston Villa sign Chicago Fire striker Jhon Duran for £18m
Aston Villa have signed Colombian forward Jhon Duran from Chicago Fire for a reported £18 million.
The teenager made 28 appearances for MLS side Chicago Fire, scoring eight goals and chipping in with six assists.
The 19-year-old has been capped three times by his national side.
Reports suggest the Villans will pay an upfront fee of £14.5 million with an additional £3.5 million in performance-related add-ons.
Duran becomes Unai Emery's second signing for Villa, with the Spanish coach keen to bolster his attacking options after allowing Danny Ings to move to West Ham last week.
Villa have previously signed defender Alex Moreno from Real Betis, with Emery suggesting he was keen to make changes to his squad, which currently lies in 11th place in the Premier League.
