Besiktas look to cancel struggling Dele Alli's loan deal early
The Turkish side are now in talks to cancel the 26-year-old's loan deal from Everton early, however, there is no break clause in the deal, making a return to England unlikely in January.
The midfielder moved to Istanbul in the summer looking to reinvigorate his career but has failed to live up to expectations, scoring just one goal and making seven league appearances this season.
He was also booed off the pitch by his own fans after just 30 minutes in a recent cup game.
Due to the lack of an early break clause, Everton will still be able to demand the full loan fee - thought to be in the region of £1m - plus any wages owed to the player.
As a result, it is unlikely the former MK Dons prodigy will return until the end of the season, with his Everton future likely to be thrown into further doubt.
It has been a worryingly steady decline for the Englishman, who scored 69 goals in 267 appearances for Tottenham before departing for free at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Once touted as one of the most valuable and promising youngsters in Europe, Alli has seen a sharp drop in his performances in recent years,
He has scored three goals in 37 appearances for England - including a memorable strike against France during a friendly at Wembley - but has failed to get anywhere near Gareth Southgate's side since 2019.
