Bordeaux-Begles lose injured Jalibert for rest of season
The 25-year-old was injured when he was tackled in the 72nd minute of his team's 40-7 win against Oyonnax on Saturday.
"My season is over following a muscle tear," Jalibert said in his post on social media.
"It's hard to accept when you put everything into living this kind of moment... Life is sometimes unfair but that's the law of sport."
Bordeaux-Begles finished third in the regular season and will face Racing 92 in a play-off next weekend for a place in the semi-finals where Stade Francais await the winners.
He returned to the dressing room grimacing and tests on Monday morning revealed a hamstring tear.
Jalibert was scheduled to be on the bench against Oyonnax but the late withdrawal by full-back Louis Bielle-Biarrey forced him into the starting XV.
Jalibert, who also already missed the Champions Cup quarter-final against Harlequins in mid-April with a left knee injury, took over as France's first choice fly-half last season when Romain Ntamack suffered a serious knee injury in the build-up to the World Cup.
