Celtic picked up another three points on the road, ensuring their four-point lead over Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership remains intact.

The Celts dominated proceedings away at Livingston, enjoying 75 per cent of the ball.

Kyogo Furuhashi broke the deadlock in the ninth minute, making good on a set-up by Greg Taylor, who made his 100th appearance for Celtic this weekend.

The reigning champions carved out several chances throughout the first period, but Livingston were able to ride out the storm at just 1-0.

Managing only two shots on goal in the first-half, the home side's afternoon was perhaps summed up best by a wayward Stephen Kelly effort from range which troubled Joe Hart very little.

Celtic resumed an aggressive approach in the second period, peppering Livingston's goal mouth with shot after shot - 10 attempts in total (16 across 90 minutes).

The second successful strike of the match arrived in the 53rd minute as Taylor rifled a missile into the back of Jack Hamilton's net from range, leaving the goalkeeper little chance.

With chances of a comeback looking slim, Celtic began to enjoy their possession and sprayed passes around the field at their leisure.

The Celts were awarded a spot-kick in the 84th minute after a VAR review, but Georgios Giakoumakis struck the upright.

Jota bagged his fifth goal in all competitions to sign off the 3-0 victory for Celtic three minutes before full-time, converting David Turnbull's pass into open space.
