Celtic have moved 12 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, following a 2-0 win over Kilmarnock.

The Celts dominated much of the game, as one may expect, with the Killie starved for chances on goal.

But the East Ayrshire side defended well - until just before the break.

Jota found the back of the net just before half-time to give Celtic the lead, assisted by Daizen Maeda.

The Premiership leaders continued to pepper Kilmarnock's goal in the second period and Kyogo Furuhashi would double his side's advantage in the 51st minute. Assist by Reo Hatate.

A combination of wastefulness and admirable defending kept the Celts from adding to their lead.

Elsewhere in Scotland, St Mirren and Hearts played out a feisty 1-1 draw while Aberdeen recorded a win over St Johnstone and Livingston beat Ross County.
