Liverpool face Ajax on Tuesday night in the second round of Group A fixtures, looking to get their first points of the European season after a shocking loss to Napoli last week.

The Reds were humiliated in a 4-1 loss against the Italian side, with Luis Diaz (25) scoring their only goal early in the second half.

The defeat was so bad it prompted manger Jurgen Klopp to describe it as the "worst game we played" since he arrived seven years ago.

Ahead of Tuesday's match, the German admitted that drastic change was needed and that they have analysed where they went wrong.

"We had a meeting, showed them the situations and I didn't have to say a lot, the players know. We brought ourselves to this situation.

"We had obvious football problems which were from misjudgments. Everyone wanted to sort it by themselves, there was no structure.

"We had four or five days now of absolute truth, not to knock the players down, just to make sure where we are now. This is the starting point for us to sort the problems together on the pitch, no pointing at each other."

To complicate things further, they will be without a number of players as injuries continue to mount during a packed schedule.

Andy Roberston (28) and Curtis Jones (21) will both be unavailable, while Jordan Henderson (32), Naby Keita (27), Fabio Carvalho (20) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (29) have also been ruled out.

Ajax started their Champions League campaign with a comfortable victory against Rangers, winning 4-0.

The Dutch champions also sit top of the Eredivisie, winning their first six games, scoring 21 and only conceding three times.

Steven Bergwijn (24), signed from Spurs during the summer, will be the player for Liverpool fans to watch out for after socring seven goals from seven games in all competitions, including a strike against Rangers in the openeing round of games.

The Scottish side take on Napoli on Wednesday in the other Group A match, which was postponed due to a lack of security available on Tuesday.
