Rehan Ahmed added to England's Ashes squad ahead of second Test
The teenager will join the team this weekend in London as cover for Moeen Ali with the second Test against Australia set to get underway next Wednesday.
Ahmed became England's youngest male cricketer to make his Test debut when he faced Pakistan last December aged just 18 years and 126 days.
During Pakistan's second innings, Ahmed took five wickets to become the youngest bowler in men's Test history to do so on debut.
Moeen suffered a blistered finger during England's dramatic defeat at Edgbaston and was fined 25 per cent of his match fee for breaching the ICC code of conduct for spraying a substance on his bowling hand without the umpire's permission.
Ahmed's inclusion will raise fresh doubts over the fitness of Moeen, who came out of Test retirement to compete in the Ashes after Jack Leach was ruled out before the series began with an injured back.
