Cristiano Ronaldo has moved to Saudi Arabian team Al-Nassr, the club announced following Friday's speculation from multiple media outlets.

Ronaldo's bumper deal will also see him act as an ambassador of the Saudi Arabia 2030 World Cup bid as the face of the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo signed a contract with Al-Nassr until 2025. "The greatest athlete in the world officially signed," the club announced on Twitter.

"History in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome Cristiano to your new home," the statement further reads.

"I am happy to have a new experience in another league and another country. Al Nassr's vision is very inspiring. I'm very excited to join my teammates and help the team achieve more success," the six time Ballon d'Or winner commented.

Fabrizio Romano informs Ronaldo's total salary, including commercial deals, will exceed €200 million, making him the highest earner ever in football.

Al-Nassr are currently two points adrift of Al-Shabab in the SPL but victory over Al-Khaleej on Saturday will see them top the table.
