Ding Junhui claims 2023 Six Red World Championship victory
China's Ding produced a consistent performance against hometown favourite Un-Nooh, racing into an early 2-0 lead and remaining in control throughout the contest.
While not a ranking event, the trophy represents a first piece of silverware since 2019 for the world number 24 - as well as a cool £100,000 in prize money.
It also marks the second success in this competition for the 35-year-old, adding to 2016's triumph.
"I feel good. I think everybody enjoys coming to Thailand to play Six Red," Ding said after claiming the title.
"The Six Red is quite fun for the players. There were some players coming here for the first time like Ronnie and Judd. It is fun and games and good to play in.
"I just need to keep my head still and do everything right. I will go back to practice and work hard for the end of the season.
"There isn't much pressure with the ranking points, so it is relaxed. The organisation was so good for the tournament. I am happy to come here and win again."
The loss proved disappointing for Thailand's own Uh-Nooh, who played hard to close the gap but never quite got into the tie in front of a packed crowd filled with home support in Pathum Thani.
