Ex-Worcester Warriors duo Howe and Kitchener sign for Saracens
The duo had their contracts terminated at Worcester earlier this month, along with other players and staff, as the debt-ridden club was wound-up over an unpaid tax bill estimated at £6m.
Last week the club was suspended from the Premiership and Rugby Cup and will be relegated to the Championship for the 2023/24 season.
Second row Kitchener, 26, and 27-year-old winger Howe have both signed three-month contracts with Saracens.
"I'm gutted to have left Worcester having come through the academy and been a part of the club for so long,” Kitchener told the Saracens’ website.
"However I'm grateful for the opportunity Saracens have given me to be part of such a successful team and I am looking forward to getting started and meeting everyone."
Saracens are top of the Premiership having won all four matches this season and face Bath at the StoneX Stadium on Saturday.
"I'm really looking forward to joining Saracens and it truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity playing for one of the biggest clubs in world rugby," Howe said.
"I'm thankful to the staff for signing me and can't wait to get stuck into training with the boys and play with some of the best players in the game.
"The Worcester situation was heartbreaking and the club will always have a place in my heart. This new chapter is one my family and I are so excited for and I can't wait to put the shirt on for the first time."
