Tuesday's action in the UEFA Champions League produced some unthinkable results, as well as some historic ones. Looking back at each of the nine matches, here is one number for each of the nine games.

10 - The number of goals Dinamo Zagreb have scored in the UCL league phase following their 4-1 defeat of Slovan Bratislava. The Croatians have now found the back of the net as many times as they did in the 2019-20 season - albeit in two less games. The win leaves Dinamo on the precipice of finally progressing from this stage, at the ninth time of asking.

4 - PSV's dominant 4-0 success at home to Girona was their largest-ever margin of victory in the Champions League proper. The Eredivisie holders got two goals on either side of the interval to put their Spanish opponents - who played the final 35 minutes down a man - to the sword.

26 - Manchester City's unbeaten run of 26 games in the UCL is broken after Sporting CP topped the 2022-23 winners 4-1 in Portugal. It was also just the second time the Cityzens have conceded that many goals in a European match, with Barcelona doing the same at this stage eight years ago.

1 - AC Milan's stunning 3-1 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid was their third against Los Blancos in seven games in the Champions League. The Rossoneri are the only one of 21 different sides to own a winning record against Los Blancos in the UCL era (minimum five games).

24 - Liverpool dazzled in a 4-0 beating of Bayer Leverkusen at Anfield. Luis Diaz sparkled with a hat trick as the Reds picked up their 24th win against a German team in UEFA club competition history. There is no other country that Liverpool have had more success against in Europe.

5 - The number of goals Lille striker Jonathan David has scored in his last four games, as the Canadian netted for Les Dogues in their 1-1 draw against Juventus. David has now found the back of the net for the fourth game in a row, something he has done twice in his professional career, but not since 2019.

6 - At the time of writing, Sturm Graz are one of three teams to be stuck on zero points on four, with the Austrian side's latest loss being 1-0 against Borussia Dortmund. However, Die Schwoazn are on a six-game losing streak in the Champions League proper, stretching all the way back to the beginning of the millennium. Their last victory in the competition came nearly 22 years ago, a 2-1 win at Panathinaikos in the second group stage.

12 - Celtic's 3-1 success over RB Leipzig means that for the first time in 12 years, the Hoops have won multiple games in the Champions League group phase. The 2012-13 season coincides with the last time the 54-time Scottish champions last successfully negotiated this round, losing 5-0 on aggregate to Juventus in the round of 16.

8 - The number of games AS Monaco have played in Italy before finally coming out on top. A late goal from Thilo Kehrer did the damage for Les Monegasques as they topped Bologna 1-0 away. At the time of writing, only Borussia Dortmund have scored more than Monaco's 10 goals in the league phase. Now on 10 points, Monaco are almost sure to progress to the next round.
