A first win in three away league games helped Leicester City extend their lead atop the Championship table with a narrow 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion, as they made it six straight wins at The Hawthorns in the process.
Birmingham 0-0 Rotherham
Despite dominating the match, Rotherham United extended their winless run away from home to 23 games as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Birmingham City.
Hull 1-2 Watford
Valérien Ismaël’s Watford side picked up just their second win in 20 away matches, as a Wesley Hoedt wonder goal stunted in-form Hull City at the MKM Stadium during Saturday’s EFL Championship meeting.
Ipswich 2-1 Coventry
Ipswich Town consolidated their place in the Championship top-two after beating mid-table Coventry City 2-1 at Portman Road, extending their impressive league form on home soil to nine wins from 10 matches.
Leeds 3-2 Middlesbrough
Leeds United ran out 3-2 winners against Middlesbrough at Elland Road, leaving the Whites as the only Championship side with an unbeaten home record (W7, D3) this season.
Millwall 1-1 Sunderland
Struggling Millwall have now ended up on the losing side only once across their previous 12 H2H home matches, following a 1-1 draw with Sunderland at The Den.
Plymouth 2-1 Stoke
Adam Randell’s last gasp strike saw Plymouth Argyle come from behind to shock Stoke City in the Championship in their first meeting with the Potters since 2007.
Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 Blackburn
Sheffield Wednesday notched up just their second win of a dismal campaign, overcoming Blackburn Rovers 3-1 with a late goal that gave them a fifth win in six home league H2Hs vs the East Lancashire side.
Southampton 2-0 Cardiff
Southampton further cemented their place inside the Championship play-off places, extending their unbeaten run to 11 matches by comfortably beating Cardiff City 2-0 at St Mary’s Stadium - their first home H2H victory since February 2009.
Swansea 1-1 Huddersfield
Charlie Patino’s added-time equaliser rescued a point for Swansea City to ease the pressure on manager Michael Duff after gifting Huddersfield an early lead. Despite the point the Swans still only have one win in their last eight games.
