Wales captain Aaron Ramsey said he is 'fine for the weekend' after scoring in his side's 2-0 win over Latvia in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The Cardiff midfielder was on target to give the Dragons a first-half lead, before David Brooks sealed the deal late on.

"It wasn't easy to come here (to Riga), a lot of teams have come here and struggled," Ramsey told S4C.

"To come here and win with two goals is fantastic, Brooksy (David Brooks) as well, it's good for us.

"He's so important for us and it's nice for him to score. We're just happy to have him back."

Ramsey was removed from play by manager Rob Page after 49 minutes, which raised concerns over his fitness.

On his second-half withdrawal, the midfielder said: "It's just a precaution. I didn't want to take any chances, but I'll be fine for the weekend (when Cardiff play Swansea)."
