Bellingham fined but clear to play in England's Euro quarter-final

Bellingham gestured towards the Slovakia bench with a crotch-grabbing motion after netting a stunning acrobatic equaliser to take the game into extra-time.

The Real Madrid midfielder later claimed on social media that it was an "inside joke" towards some "close friends" at the game who were sitting in proximity.

Bellingham, though, has been hit with a €30,000 fine (£25,400) and a one-match ban - suspended for one year - crucially making him available for Saturday's clash with Switzerland.

A statement from UEFA read: "The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to fine the English Football Association player Jude Bellingham €30,000 and to suspend him for a total of one UEFA competition match for which he would be otherwise eligible for violating the basic rules of decent conduct.

"Said suspension is not immediately enforced and is subject to a probationary period of one (1) year, starting from the date of the present decision."

UEFA also fined England's Football Association €10,000 (£8,400) for crowd disturbances and another €1,000 (£846) for the lighting of fireworks in the same game.
