France coach Didier Deschamps said: "It's beautiful. We played very well against a very good team. It was tight even if I think we had a lot more possession and more chances too.
"We have to enjoy, not analyse too much. We're into the quarter-finals."
Belgium captain Kevin de Bruyne said: "We had a plan today and I think we did well. We knew that with France's quality we wouldn't have too much of the ball but there were moments where we were dangerous… It's a shame to concede a goal like that but that's football."
19:09 BST - Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line for Portugal, looking for his first goal of the tournament. The 39-year-old striker will become the oldest player to score in the competition's history if he finds the net but failed to do so in three group-stage appearances.
Ronaldo is also one of several Portugal players in danger of suspension for a potential quarter-final if booked, with Joao Palhinha starting and also on a caution.
Coach Roberto Martinez reverted to the 4-3-3 formation which earned his side a comfortable 3-0 group-stage win over Turkey, after his side were shocked 2-0 by debutants Georgia in their last appearance.
The Spaniard rotated most of his side for that game but has brought back his key players tonight, with the oldest player in Euros history, 41-year-old Pepe, starting at centre-back.
Slovenia have brought in Jure Balkovec for the suspended Erik Janza but otherwise maintain the other 10 players from the side that drew 0-0 with England to progress.
Playing in the knock-out rounds of a major tournament for the first time in their history, Slovenia will hope RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko can break his Euros duck after hitting the woodwork multiple times in the group stage.

20:40 BST - GOAL! Giorgi Mamardashvili had been maing a habit of flinging himself about to keep Georgia in the game, but eventually he is beaten by Rodri who brings Spain level at 1-1. There was a check from VAR but the goal stands.
20:19 BST - GOAL! And despite a huge amount of pressure from Spain, it's Georgia who get it! They break down the right in what is their first attack of the tie, and when the ball is crossed in by Giorgi Chakvetadze, Robin Le Normand unwittingly turns the ball into his own net. Georgia lead 1-0.
It's the first goal Spain have conceded at Euro 2024.
20:14 BST - As for England's hero Jude Bellingham, the goalscorer told ITV Sport: "I know what I can deliver in those moments. Regardless of what people say, I've done it this year for Madrid, I've done it for England before. Just happy to help the team."
On where he places his goal in the moments of his career: "Depends how we're looking in two weeks. If it ends up being one that helps the team win the cup then it will be right up there."
20:09 BST - Harry Kane says England's win showed England's "desire and attitude", as they now turn their attention to the quarter-finals.
"That's the desire and the attitude from the boys," a relieved Kane told ITV Sport. "It looked tough for a second there but you keep going... Jude does what Jude does and what an unbelievable goal.
"We know we'll do whatever it takes, we have another game like this in the quarter-finals then so be it. This team knows how to dig deep and that's exactly what we've done today.
"We could have been better, we could have played better but ultimately it's a results business and that's what we care about. We can enjoy the comeback and hopefully take that momentum into the rest of the tournament."
20:05 BST - Harry Kane may have scored the winner, but he gave all the credit to Jude Bellingham for the goal that sent their game into extra-time.
"One of the best in our country's history, I reckon," Kane said.
20:01 BST - We are underway in Cologne. Can Georgia cause a monster upset here tonight?
19:44 BST - After all that drama, there's still another game to come, with Spain facing off with Georgia. The winner of this tie will face Germany in the quarter-finals.
The team news is in, and midfield lynchpin Rodri returns after suspension as Spain coach Luis de la Fuente makes 10 changes to his starting line-up for Sunday's Euro 2024 last-16 tie against tournament surprise package Georgia in Cologne.
The Spain team is the same as that which started their 1-0 victory over Italy in their second group game, a result which allowed them to secure qualification for the knockout stages as winners of their section. That meant De la Fuente chose to change almost his entire team for the last match, with only Aymeric Laporte keeping his place for the 1-0 victory against Albania.
Georgia's team is the same as that which started against Portugal last Wednesday, when they recorded their first ever win at a major tournament, a 2-0 triumph allowing them to reach the last 16.
They are led by Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and striker Georges Mikautadze, of French club Metz, who scored three goals in three group games.

"We won a hugely important game and that's what matters," Yakin told uefa.com.
"As to what happens tomorrow, that's a different kettle of fish. Yes, we won but it was the way we played that matters. We dominated every area of the pitch and we scored goals at the right time."

14:55 BST - Italy manager Luciano Spalletti has admitted he thinks his side will be a lot more relaxed in their last 16 tie against Switzerland.
"We had to make it through the group. We've done that. And now I expect to see them a little bit more relaxed because we're immediately focusing on a knockout match," he said.
"You can't think about permutations or considering x, y or z. In fact, the time is now because we can only make it through to the next round if we win this game."

Rudiger had been suffering with a hamstring injury but has regained fitness at the right time.
