23:03 BST - That's all from us tonight. Join us tomorrow for more Euros action. It starts with Croatia's Group B tie with Albania, which is followed by hosts Germany taking on Hungary. In the evening, we have the big one between Scotland and Switzerland. See you tomorrow!

22:58 BST - Today marked the end of the first round of the group stage at Euro 2024.

It all started with some stunning goals in the game between Turkey and Georgia, and there was plenty more drama in the evening kick-off that saw Portugal beat Czech Republic.

Catch up on all the talking points from Group F by clicking here.

22:35 BST - Czech Republic had gone ahead against the run of play through Lukas Provod, who said after the game it was difficult to halt the "quality" of Portugal.

"Of course it hurts extremely (badly), although nobody completely thought we would prevail today," he told Czech national television.

"The goals we conceded did not come after well put together attacks, but we have to acknowledge Portugal's quality. The (goals) came from the enormous pressure."

22:27 BST - Portugal midfielder Vitinha said the impact of the substitues shows that Portugal are "truly a team".

"We showed all our coolness and resilience," he said.

"We remained calm, got the draw and always believed until the end to get the win.

"Luckily we managed to do it with the help of the players who came on... we are truly a team."

22:12 BST - Here are the player ratings from tonight's game. Czech Republic gave a good account of themselves but Portugal were too strong in the end.

21:53 BST - FULL-TIME: Portugal have done it. Wow, what a final 10 minutes of that game. Czech Republic worked incredibly hard and you could argue deserved more from the fixture, but Portugal get all three points in Leipzig. Click here to read our full report.

Key statsOpta by StatsPerform

21:49 BST - GOAL! Portugal have surely done it now. Substitue Francisco Conceicao was in the right place at the right time in the box to pounce on the rebound and rifle the ball home. Portugal 2-1 Czech Republic.

21:44 BST - VAR NO GOAL! Portugal thought they were ahead there. Diogo Jota was the man to head the ball into the net after collecting a rebound from a Cristiano Ronaldo attempt, but there was an intervention to stop the celebrations due to Ronaldo being offside.

21:27 BST - GOAL! Portugal hit back immediately! It comes from a Robin Hranac own goal that followed plenty of pressure from the 2016 champions. Pin ball in the box pays off for Portugal, who are now level at 1-1.

21:19 BST - GOAL! Czech Republic have the lead! Lukáš Provod gets the ball on the edge of the box and just thunders the ball past the diving keeper to give his side the crucial advantage. What a goal. Portugal have it all to do now.

21:04 BST - We are back underway, can Czech Republic keep Portugal at bay for another half?

20:47 BST - HALF-TIME: There's the whistle in Leipzig. Portugal have been the better team but Czech Republic deserve credit for the way they have defended and held out. Ronaldo has had two big chances so far, one header that he sent wide and one chance from a great through-ball that he couldn't quite put away - although replays suggested he may have been offside for it.

A big second half coming up.

20:19 BST - It's absolutely chucking it down in the stadium, which isn't making for the slickest football, but the main thing is that Czech Republic are holding out well so far.

20:00 BST - We are off in Leipzig! Can Czech Republic offer up a surprise tonight?

19:52 BST - Guler's pass map from Turkey's win over Georgia earlier today. Who will be the hero for Portugal or Czech Republic?

19:41 BST - Ronaldo getting pumped for his first outing at Euro 2024.

19:24 BST - Attention now turns to Portugal's opener against Czech Republic, where Pepe will set a new record as the oldest player to ever play at a European Championship after the 41-year-old was selected to start tonight's game.

The Porto centre-back will pass the mark set by Hungary goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly, who was 40 years and 86 days when he played against Belgium in the round of 16 at Euro 2016.

Cristiano Ronaldo, 39, will also beat the previous record of an outfield player that had been held by Lothar Matthaeus after his 150th and final appearance for Germany at Euro 2000.

Ronaldo already holds the record for most goals (14) and appearances (25) in European Championship history.

19:00 BST - FULL-TIME! Brilliant goals and end-to-end football but it's Turkey who take the win against Georgia, who gave a superb account of themselves on their tournament debut.

18:55 BST - GOAL! Turkey make it 3-1 seal the points! Kerem Akturkoglu races up the other end with Georgia's goalkeeper up for a corner and he strokes the ball into an empty net. That will end a truly bonkers match in Turkey's favour.

18:54 BST - POST! Georgia hit the woodwork then the follow-up shot is blocked on the goal line!

18:29 BST - CROSSBAR! Georgia are so close to equalising through a brilliant bit of skill from Giorgi Kochorashvili.

He works his way into the box, flicks the ball around the onrushing defending and smashes the bar with just the goalkeeper to beat!

18:24 BST - GOAL! TURKEY LEAD AND IT'S A STUNNER!

What a stunning strike from Real Madrid teenager Arda Guler. He picks up a loose ball on the right, drives inside then whips an effort right into the far corner. It's a truly world-class goal.

18:03 BST - Back up and running for the second half. What will the next 45 bring?

18:00 BST - Intricate, patient and historic. Georgia's first-ever Euros goal was a special one.

17:49 BST - HALF-TIME! A breathless, end-to-end opening half Dortmund comes to a close with Georgia clawing back level with Turkey.

Best 45 minutes of the tournament so far? Let's have some more of that!

17:37 BST - WHAT A CHANCE! Georgia should be in the lead after the ball is worked nicely into the area but Mikautadze can't convert as the ball flies narrowly wide.

17:34 BST - GOAL! GEORGIA EQUALISE! It's absolute carnage as Georgia level via Georges Mikautadze, whose first-time shot catches the goalkeeper out.

It's Georgia's first-ever goal at a European Championship!

17:28 BST - NO GOAL! Turkey score a quick-fire second through Kenan Yildiz but he is adjudged to have been slightly offside. Rapid pace to this one.

17:26 BST - GOAL! WHAT A STRIKE! Turkey lead and it's a stunning goal from Mert Muldur, who volleys a fierce effort into the top corner from the edge of the area. That's an goal of the tournament contender.

17:14 BST - Georgia's turn to attack now! They go straight up the other end with Anzor Mekvabishvili's deflected shot from distance causing the goalkeeper a bit of trouble.

It's pushed out for a corner and the noise ramps up with whistles all around the stadium.

17:12 BST - POST! Turkey are riding the atmosphere well and are desperately close to scoring through Kaan Ayhan, whose shot hits the inside of the post and squirms across the face of goal. So close to the opener.

17:01 BST - Both national anthems have been belted out in Dortmund and we are underway in Group F!

16:20 BST - The weather in Dortmund has taken a big turn with rain pouring through the roof at Signal Iduna Park.

Get ready for very greasy conditions on the pitch...

16:10 BST - All focus on the Group F opener with the teams in for former Euro semi-finalists Turkey and tournament debutants Georgia.

Monday, June 17th

22:48 BST - That's all for this evening, thanks for joining us.

Today's action at Euro 2024 saw heavyweights Belgium and France get their campaigns started with mixed results and Romania show some early form.

Catch up on the main talking points from the day here.

22:41 BST - Here's how things stand in Group D after the opening two games of the group:

22:24 BST - However, it wasn't all good news for Deschamps. Mbappe left the field late in the piece with a heavily bleeding nose.

Deschamps told ITV after the game: "Apparently the nose is not good at all. So we’ll see. It’s obviously the negative point of the evening. Even if it’s just his nose it’s annoying for us."

22:22 BST - Tonight's win is Deschamps' 100th as coach of France. How he would dearly love another six victories here in Germany.

22:14 BST - Here are Kante's key stats from the game:

Kante's key stats

22:12 BST - One of the stars of the show tonight was N'Golo Kante.

"Kante was brilliant," Roy Keane said on ITV. "He has that vast experience. There's breaking the play up, he covers the ground well, but his passing is excellent.

"He looked like a younger version of himself. I never doubted him before the game."

22:05 BST - Not the most clinical of performances, but like England, it's a case of 'job done' for France in their opening game.

21:58 BST - There's the final whistle and France have won their opening match of Euro 2024 thanks to a Maximilian Wober own goal. Austria had their chances, but in truth it was a fairly dominant performance from France, who will nevertheless want to see improvements for their next game against the Netherlands.

21:49 BST - Giroud comes on to replace Mbappe and we will have nine minutes of added time.

21:45 BST - Play is held up while Mbappe gets some treatment after getting a cut to his head after connecting with the shoulder of Danso.

21:38 BST - France haven't been as dominant in the second half as they were in the first, but they still look like they are going to close this out.

21:02 BST - We are back underway in Düsseldorf. Can Austria navigate some sort of comeback or will France go through the gears in the second half?

20:58 BST - It was a frustrating day for Belgium and Lukaku earlier today - they will need to bounce back quickly after their loss to Slovakia.

20:48 BST - HALF-TIME: We have reached the break in Düsseldorf. France started brightly but were still forced to work for their opening goal, which eventually came via a Wober own goal.

20:39 BST - GOAL! France have an opener through an own goal. Mbappe, naturally, the man to spearhead the breakthrough as he goes on a probing run down the right. He puts in a teasing cross and Wober gets his head to the ball but only manages to send it goalwards. France 1-0 Austria.

20:36 BST - Baumgartner has just missed out on an enormous chance to open the scoring. He was put through in the box by Sabitzer and had only the keeper to beat, but the keeper got a foot to the ball to deny the Austrian.

20:24 BST - Mbappe has come closest to scoring tonight, sending the side netting of the Austria goal splashing after a break down the left. France have been piling on the pressure here but crucially we're still scoreless in Düsseldorf.

20:00 BST - With the full-throated anthems completed, the referee blows his whistle and we are underway in Düsseldorf.

19:46 BST - The Austrian fans are in full voice ahead of tonight's big fixture.

Absolute chaos in Dortmund.

20:13 BST - GOAL! Italy find a response and equalise through Alessandro Bastoni!

The Inter Milan defender rises at the back post to head in a wonderful cross to draw his side level.

They seem to have settled after that very early shock to the system.

20:02 BST - GOAL! What a start to this one as Albania take a shock lead!

An awful throw-in from Federico DiMarco is capitalised by Nedim Bajrami, who smashes home the opener from the angle inside 30 seconds.

The Albanian part of Signal Iduna Park erupts while Italy are stunned!

20:01 BST - Underway for this Group B match in Dortmund!

19:35 BST - Some reaction from earlier, Hungary coach Marco Rossi bemoaned his side's "passive" display in the 3-1 loss to Switzerland but took responsibility for the defeat.

"I'm not looking for guilty people. I'm the coach and need to take my responsibility.

"We had some shortcomings in individual performances. There aren't many strategies to stop individual mistakes."

22:40 BST - Scotland boss Steve Clarke was full of praise for his opponents tonight.
