Szczesny 'feeling good' after leaving pitch in tears with chest pains
After initial medical examinations, the Polish international goalkeeper appears to have suffered from tachycardia.
It was in the 41st minute of the Europa League quarter-final at Juventus Stadium when Szczesny asked to be substituted, touching his chest several times as if he was short of breath.
Immediately, Szczesny left for the dressing room in tears, with him and every else shocked.
After an initial examination by the medical services, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he seems to have suffered a slight tachycardia but is now in good condition. Further tests will be carried out this Friday.
“I was worried, I was not able to breathe but now I feel good. The tests confirmed that there’s no problem,” the goalkeeper said after the game.
