Kylian Mbappe officially announces his departure from PSG
He made the announcement on social media shortly before 7pm (BST).
On Sunday, the France international will play his last match for PSG at the Parc des Princes against Toulouse.
Although Mbappe did not confirm his future destination, he did clarify that he's leaving Ligue 1.
"I've always said that I would speak with you when the time comes and so I wanted to announce to you all that it's my last year at Paris Saint-Germain," he said.
"I will not extend (my contract) and the adventure will come an end in a few weeks.
"I will play my last game at the Parce des Princes on Sunday. It's a lot of emotions, many years where I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club, one of the best in the world."
Mbappe went on to thank his teammates, coaches and all the staff behind the scenes at PSG.
"I never thought it would be this difficult (...) to leave my country, France, Ligue 1, a championship I have always known," he said.
"But I think I need a new challenge after seven years. It's difficult and, of course, there are some people I want to thank above all. These are the fans.
"I know I am not the most demonstrative player. I haven't always lived up to the love you have gave to me over the seven years, but I never wanted to cheat. I always wanted to be effective."
He continued: "PSG is a club that is not indifferent, you love it or you hate it. I chose to love it and I did for the seven years with the ups and downs, of course, but I do not regret any moment (since) signing with this prestigious club. It's a club I will keep in my memory my entire life."
Mbappe is expected to join Champions League finalists Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer.
He could yet go out with a bang at PSG, who are set to contest the French Cup with Lyon in two weeks.
