Bruno Fernandes' red card against Tottenham rescinded by Premier League
The Premier League concluded Chris Kavanagh's on-field decision - which was sustained by VAR at the time - was wrong and, therefore, decided to overrule the midfielder's red card.
As a result, Bruno Fernandes can now play in the Premier League matches against Aston Villa, Brentford and West Ham.
The Premier League said in a statement that the midfielder "will be available for the next three matches (...) following an appeal for an unfair dismissal".
The 30-year-old midfielder was shown a straight red after a tackle on James Maddison in Manchester United's 3-0 loss to Tottenham.
"Bruno Fernandes will be available for Manchester United's next three matches following an appeal for an unfair dismissal," read a statement on United's website.
"The midfielder was sent off for a serious foul during the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 29th September.
"Fernandes was due to miss the league games against Aston Villa, Brentford and West Ham, but will now be available following a successful appeal," the club added.
"Never a red card - that is my view," Fernandes told BBC Match of the Day after the game.
"I agree that it is a foul. The referee tried to tell me that as he saw it was a clear contact with the studs. No. I didn't touch him with the studs or even the foot, it was my ankle. It is a clear foul.
"If he wants to give me a yellow because they are going to go on a counter then I agree. But more than that, no. It is not the case."
