EA Sports FC 24: Each Premier League club's highest rated player
The new game will be released this coming Friday in the UK, a day that many fans of the franchise will surely take to indulge ahead of the weekend.
Whether that's you - or, perhaps, like me, you'll wait a few weeks to see if it drops in price - there is often the question of who the best players in the game are.
This almost always correlates to the best players in the actual world of football in reality, but who is the highest-rated player at your favourite club?
From Mohamed Salah to Casemiro, here's a breakdown of some of the Premier League's best in-game players.
Arsenal - Martin Odegaard - 87
The young Arsenal captain put in a monster showing last season and has been rewarded with a justified upgrade, up from 84. With some outstanding passing and dribbling attributes, Odegaard will be just as big of a threat as the star of your in-game midfield as he is for Arsenal in reality.
Aston Villa - Emiliano Martinez - 85
It is perhaps no surprise Villa's World Cup-winning goalkeeper is also their highest-rated in-game player. Martinez is a serious physical presence in EA FC 24 at 6'4" and will pluck crosses anywhere near him out of the sky.
Bournemouth - Neto / Tyler Adams - 78
Much of what was said for Martinez can be said for Neto, but Cherries fans will undoubtedly be thrilled to see USA captain Adams in-game after his transfer from Leeds Utd in the summer. The American midfielder is a force to be reckoned with, boasting tidy footwork for a holding midfielder.
Brentford - Mark Flekken - 82
Another goalkeeper - which isn't usual given their significant importance - but the Bees' flying Dutchman is notable for his top-notch reflexes in-game, a great option for any team.
Brighton - Lewis Dunk - 81
With several stars in their team, it's a bit of a surprise to see the towering defender as their best man - but he's a solid stalwart for the Seagulls and is able to start counter-attacks with some brilliant short and long-range passing abilities.
Burnley - Nathan Redmond - 77
Anyone familiar with EA Sports' football franchise will already be well aware of the Englishman's legacy in the game - he remains particularly rapid and agile, actually going up one (from 76) last year, and is able to back up his mobility with some tidy finishing.
Chelsea - Christopher Nkunku - 86
The Frenchman is yet to play a competitive match for the Blues in real life, but after a phenomenal couple of years - and a change of position in Germany - Nkunku is renowned as one of the most well-rounded forwards in the world. Fans of the game will get a taste of things to come at Stamford Bridge.
Crystal Palace - Eberechi Eze - 79
Calling him Wilfried Zaha's replacement would be quite lazy. While Eze has become the new star of Palace - and is capable of playing out wide - the attacking midfielder is a different type of threat. The Greenwich native isn't as rapid, but boasts incredible ball control and an eye for a pass.
Everton - Jordan Pickford - 82
The England goalkeeper is one of the best in his position in the Premier League and maintains this in-game. Very much a modern player, Pickford can pick a pass from distance and will rush attackers.
Fulham - Palhinha - 83
Palhinha is a physical specimen and has the ability to dominate midfield on his own, boasting some impressive footwork for a defensive player. Good job for the Cottagers he remained this summer! If you're a fan of Career Mode, expect to see him on the move with each new save.
Liverpool - Mohamed Salah - 89
One of the best players in the game, Salah needs little introduction - he's rapid, has world-class ball control and is deadly in front of goal. An absolute gem cutting inside from the Reds' right wing, players will need their best defenders to stop the Egyptian.
Luton - Ross Barkley - 74
The former Everton and Chelsea midfielder is a fairly average central-to-attacking midfielder, with decent ball control and the ability to pick out a target from distance, a mere suggestion of his early promise.
Manchester City - Erling Haaland / Kevin De Bruyne - 91
Two of the very best players in the game, Haaland and De Bruyne are a deadly duo for the Citizens. Boasting an absurd level of finishing prowess and physicality, the former may be the best forward in the game - while the tricky little Belgian, despite losing a bit of speed, is one of the best passers around and a great finisher in his own right. Players should fear any starting XI with these two together.
Manchester Utd - Casemiro - 89
Arguably the best holding midfielder in the game, perhaps pipped by Manchester rival Rodri, at least in-game, the Brazilian is a destroyer and isn't half bad at picking out a pass from distance either. It's Casemiro, you know what you're in for.
Newcastle - Sandro Tonali - 86
No doubt a player Magpies fans will be excited to see, Tonali is a relentless, all-around machine in-game - he's physical, very quick for a holding midfielder and has an eye for a decent pass. A brilliant Serie A campaign with Milan has also afforded him an upgrade from 84.
Nott'm Forest - Gonzalo Montiel - 79
An offensive yet versatile full-back, boasting pace and neat dribbling, the Argentine Premier League newcomer flies down the flank like a converted winger.
Sheffield Utd - Anel Ahmedhodzic / Wes Foderingham / Gustavo Hamer - 75
A trio of stars for the Blades! Ahmedhodzic, a young, quick, towering centre-half, is perhaps the stand-out - but Hamer is a powerful midfielder who can pick out a pass, and Foderingham is a solid option between the sticks.
Spurs - Hueng-min Son - 87
One of the best forwards in the game, Spurs' new captain is an absolute dream - he's quick, a true fox in the box if allowed to drift inside, and boasts some incredible close control in the final third. Son is doing a fine job helping to replace Harry Kane in north London in real life, which bodes well for his digital self.
West Ham - Edson Alvarez / Lucas Paqueta - 81
The Hammers' midfield double act can cause any team some serious problems, with Alvarez the hugely physical destroyer and Paqueta the creative spark further up the pitch. Battles in the centre of the park at the London Stadium will be key.
Wolves - Jose Sa - 79
Closing this round-up with a goalkeeper feels right! The Portuguese stopper is more than handy enough to hold his own with high-level reflexes, and remains the star of a weakened Wolves side.
