Everton's Demarai Gray set to sign for Al-Ettifaq
The Jamaica international, who has also attracted the attention of Besiktas, recently criticised manager Sean Dyche after he failed to secure a move to Premier League rivals Fulham over the summer.
In reply, Dyche said any move for the 27-year-old must be sanctioned by his club first.
Last Sunday, Gray wrote on Instagram: "Everton fans have always been great with me but it's so difficult to play for someone who don't show you respect as a person."
In reply, the Goodison Park boss told the club's website: "Demarai told us a move was done, which was interesting to hear.
"We reminded him of the truth of the fact that no moves are done without this club's say so. That's the truth of it."
The midfilder has scored 12 goals in 75 appearences for the club but has yet to feature for the Toffees this season.
Al-Ettifaq is managed by former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, with Anfield favourites Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum also joining the club this summer.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia closes on Thursday.
