Fantasy Premier League: Haaland pips Salah for best captaincy option
Let's open with some more on the captain's selection. Erling Haaland (15.4) will play this weekend against Wolves and, given Mohamed Salah (12.6) and Cole Palmer (10.8) are facing each other, as well as the injury to the aforementioned Saka, the Norwegian is a certainty for the captain's armband.
Who to buy?
Brennan Johnson (6.6) - Tottenham 's players admittedly showed total amateurism against Brighton, but after all, FPL is not about team results. What interests us is that Brennan Johnson scored a goal again. The Welshman is ninth in the entire league in the number of shots he has taken and holds the same place in the list for the highest xG ratio. The fact that he only costs 6.6m, is only selected by 6% of players and will now face West Ham and Crystal Palace only adds to his command.
Dominic Calvert-Levin (6.0) - To suggest buying an Everton player makes this article seem like it was written by an amateur, but after all, another player for The Toffees - Dwight McNeil (5.7) - is the third most bought player in the game ahead of this round. Calvert-Levin, however, has more shots taken than his colleague and also has a higher xG - McNeil has been hitting from difficult positions and DCL is 'not cheating' with his coefficient. He faces Ipswich this week - there could be goals.
James Justin (4.6) - A 4.6m defender who scores a goal and notches two assists in two rounds will always be in the notebook of any seasoned FPL scout. Admittedly, the Foxes have only just kept their first clean sheet in the league this season, but they will now play against Southampton, Nottingham and Ipswich in succession. Of course, it's hard to expect out-of-sorts scoring from Justin, but it's safe to assume that a clean sheet or an offensive return every now and then will come from him.
Tips from Flashscore
Raúl Jiménez (5.6) - He has been a regular in Fulham's first team since the fourth round and has added to his numbers - he has three goals and one assist already. Since winning his place in the squad he has contributed a goal in every game. On top of that, Fulham are dangerous offensively and now face a series of interesting matches. It's probably too early to talk about Raúl's return to his pre-serious injury form in Wolverhampton colours, but he is the third-best striker in the game in terms of price-performance ratio this season.
Liam Delap (5.7) - Ipswich face Everton, Brentford and Leicester in their next few games. Delap has made a positive impression since the start of the season, getting plenty of chances to play and can be considered one of the three best-finishing strikers in the league, statistically at least. He has caught the eye of many players during the international break and his price has already increased, but he remains a cheap option among strikers.
Facundo Buonanotte (5.0) - If you want to chase down opponents in your mini-leagues, consider buying the Leicester midfielder. The Foxes have a series of games against weaker opponents ahead of them, and Buonanotte has scored three goals in the last five league starts. And yet only 0.7% of players have him in their squads!
