21:26 GMT - Mikel Arteta hailed "ruthless" Arsenal's crucial 3-1 win against Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday which helped the Gunners boost their title hopes.

"We were ruthless when we had a chance and it feels like a big win," he said.

"At the moment Liverpool are probably the best team in Europe and the levels they have, they are an incredible team.

"We have come so far and now it is about doing it consistently. Liverpool have done it for six to seven years.

"It gives us momentum and the way we have done it we are back on it. I'm really excited."

10:35 GMT - Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is hopeful Anthony Gordon has not suffered a major injury after being pictured on crutches following Saturday's 4-4 draw with Luton.

"It looked like he (Gordon) twisted his ankle," Howe said. "I wasn't sure on the incident, I didn't see what happened. But he was in a lot of pain at half-time and had to come off."

"We hope it's not bad. He's such an important player for us and we missed him when he went off."

Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen both claimed victories to keep the Bundesliga title race alive and kicking.
