Football Tracker: Arsenal beaten at Fulham, Spurs down Bournemouth
17:39 GMT - That will do it for our coverage in 2023. Be sure to scroll down to recap all of the day's action and reaction. Thank you for joining us throughout the year and here's to a prosperous new year!
17:03 GMT - Here's how the Premier League table shapes up for the end of 2023.
Arsenal missed the chance to top the pile after defeat at Fulham and sit fourth meaning Liverpool - who play Newcastle on Monday - can open up a three-point lead.
Winners over Bournemouth today, Tottenham end the year in fifth but cut the gap to the top four down to just one point.
16:45 GMT - Mikel Arteta was far from impressed with his Arsenal side's defeat at Fulham, labelling the performance as the "worst game of the season".
He told Sky Sports: "Really tough day. A sad day. Three days ago we played a game we lost that we completely meant to win it, today was our worst game of the season. The pace, the purpose we have in attack, defensively we were second best, we could not dominate and had issues because of that.
"We were sloppy with the ball. It wasn't good enough. We didn't deserve to win. When you have opportunities to go top of league and now end up with really bad feeling that is football. The lines are really thin.
"If we play like we played in the other 19 games we will be up there. If we play like today we will be nowhere near. Today was a really difficult day to swallow."
16:35 GMT - Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says he is pleased with his team's resilience after a battling win over form side Bournemouth.
He told Sky Sports: "Every week is a battle and we had to battle today. At the same time I thought we played some decent stuff as well. After Brighton I said these players have given everything they've got and it is a credit to them. We've not been able to rotate but we're still putting in performances and effort like we are today.
"We're trying to build something. I'm at pains to keep repeating myself but we're trying to build a team that plays a bit differently and has some resilience and you can only gain that through tough times. Some of that is self-inflicted with suspensions but we've had a lot of injuries. We haven't wanted to make excuses and we're still in there and fighting.
"We're three points off the top so if that is the difference between having a great season and where we are I'll take it. When you're trying to build something you will undoubtedly come up against some challenges. I am seeing progress. Sometimes it is not tangible and not football or results, sometimes it is just the team growing. There was more growth today."
16:20 GMT - Fulham captain Tom Cairney says he was delighted with the way his side fought back to claim a big win over Arsenal.
"We have been great at home, not so good away," he told Sky Sports.
"We were very disappointed with the Boxing Day performance (defeat at Bournemouth) and wanted to make a statement today. We were on top form.
"To react the way we did to going a goal behind was very good."
16:08 GMT - Full-time in the second and final game of the day and Tottenham have run out as 3-1 winners over Bournemouth.
15:58 GMT - Full-time at Craven Cottage and Fulham have fought back to beat Arsenal 2-1! The Gunners miss the opportunity to end the year top of the table.
We're still playing between Tottenham and Bournemouth, with the home side leading 3-1.
15:50 GMT - Goal! Maybe it's not over yet for Bournemouth as they get one to make it 3-1... Alex Scott lashes into the corner after a ball into the box and gives the visitors some hope.
15:47 GMT - Goal! They keep coming for Tottenham and it's Richarlison who taps in after a lovely low cross from Brennan Johnson. That could be it against Bournemouth.
15:37 GMT - Goal! Tottenham have doubled their advantage over Bournemouth and it comes courtesy of their captain Son Heung-min, who nets before his departure for the Asian Cup.

Morgan Gibbs-White told Sky Sports: "I've been working on my finishing this season. Before I've been rushing things, but now I'm starting to take my time, be composed and pick my spot. Luckily tonight it went in and not over the bar!
"At Wolves I had my best times growing up under (Nuno Espirito Santo) and I learned so much. I had a great relationship at Wolves and I needed time to develop. Now, I've got that game experience and have matured as a man. I feel we have an incredible relationship now and it's starting to show on the pitch.

19:27 GMT - Tim Robinson blows his whistle and it’s all over! Forest have beaten Man Utd at home for the first time in over 30 years.
What a start it has been for Nuno Espírito Santo. First they beat Newcastle away on Boxing Day and now Man Utd at home. Two huge results and they climb above Brentford into 15th (who they play next) and crucially, five points above Luton in 18th.
Meanwhile on Sky Sports Gary Neville has been fuming about his former club: "Manchester United are back to what they are: inconsistent and awful.
"They walk off the pitch a defeated bunch. United fans behind the goal will go off so disappointed.
"But let's not forget about Nottingham Forest who have been absolutely wonderful today."
