Man Utd confirm signings of Bayern duo De Ligt and Mazraoui
De Ligt is a welcome addition to the Red Devils' back line, following the departure of Raphael Varane over the summer.
The 6'2" Dutchman has played for some of Europe's biggest names, including Bayern, Juventus, Ajax, and now Man Utd.
Following him to Old Trafford is Mazraoui, who has played alongside De Ligt at both Bayern and Ajax.
The Moroccan international was part of the famous Atlas Lions team that reached the World Cup semi-finals in 2022.
Man Utd have signed the duo from Bayern in a deal that could rise to cost around £60 million, it has been reported.
De Ligt, whose arrival is a major coup for the Red Devils, said manager Erik ten Hag “shaped the early stages of my career, so he knows how to get the best out of me and I cannot wait to work with him again.
"I know what it takes to succeed at the highest level, and I’m determined to continue that record at this special club.”
Mazraoui, an exciting defender in his own right, said: “I know that I’m joining the club at an exciting time.
"Everyone I’ve spoken to has the same ambition for us to win trophies together and I can feel the determination to achieve that.”
