The 22-year-old was forced into the operation after falling ill while on England duty last month, but returns just in time for Manchester City's second-leg Champions League tie against Bayern Munich as well as his side's FA Cup semi-final this weekend.
City manager Pep Guardiola will also be relieved to have his squad bolstered ahead of their key Premier League run-in, which kicks off with a huge top-of-the-table clash with Arsenal on April 26th.
Foden has scored 13 goals and provided six assists in 36 appearances for City this season.
City currently sit four points behind Arsenal with a game in hand in the Premier League and face Sheffield United in their FA Cup semi-final, leaving them well-positioned for a treble of trophies.
