A match-winning display from Son Heung-min for Tottenham against Newcastle sees him named the latest Flashscore Player of the Week!

Spurs ended a five-game winless run with an assured 4-1 victory against the depleted Magpies with Son setting the tone on a brisk Sunday evening in north London, emerging with a 9.6 player rating.

The South Korean has been used as a centre forward for most of the season so far but he was shifted out to the left wing with Richarlison reinstated up front.

That decision from Ange Postecoglou proved to be a shrewd one from the off as Son gave Newcastle right-back and former Tottenham teammate Kieran Trippier quite the headache.

For Spurs' opener, Son got down the outside of Trippier before cutting back for Destiny Udogie and then mirrored the same move for Richarlison's effort to put the hosts two up.

A goal looked to have been alluding Son, but he was awarded an opportunity from the penalty spot in the second half after being taken out by goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

The 31-year-old dispatched it to score his 10th goal of the campaign, making it the eighth consecutive time he has hit the mark in the Premier League.

Son and Spurs will look to make it back-to-back wins when they travel to take on Nottingham Forest on Friday night.
