Premier League Player of the Week: Trippier excels for Newcastle
His rating of 9.6 was not only the highest of the week, but is the highest recorded by a Premier League player all season.
Trippier provided a hat-trick of assists as Newcastle brushed Sheffield United aside with ease - becoming the first Premier League side ever to have eight different players on the score sheet.
The defender's crossing was exceptional throughout the match, sending in a perfect corner for Dan Burn to head home, whipping a brilliant free-kick for Sven Botman to connect with and then rounding it off by clipping in a superb ball for Callum Wilson to nod over the line.
While the attacking side of his game clearly caused huge issues for the Blades, Trippier was equally dominant defensively.
He made three interceptions, six recoveries and two tackles - allowing the Magpies to completely control the match.
