Premier League Team of the Week: Estupinan and Jones in place
With the campaign's conclusion moving closer into view, it's time to delve into Flashscore's Premier League Team of the Week!
Alisson (Liverpool)
Alisson was largely untroubled between the posts as Liverpool continued their surge towards a Champions League place with a 3-0 win over relegation-threatened Leicester.
The Brazilian stopper made four saves, one high claim and had 48 touches, which was bettered by just six Leicester players.
Rasmus Kristensen (Leeds)
A battling display from Leeds and defender Kristensen helped Sam Allardyce claim his first point as manager in a draw with Champions League-chasing Newcastle.
Usually deployed as a right-back, Kristensen was utilised at centre-back and while making five clearances, his effort from the edge of the box salvaged a well-earned point for the Whites.
Joachim Andersen (Crystal Palace)
Crystal Palace returned to the win column with a comfortable 2-0 win over now-safe Bournemouth and Andersen was key towards the Eagles' keeping a clean sheet.
The Dane made six tackles - more than any other player - three clearances, two interceptions and won two aerial duels to blank the Cherries.
Levi Colwill (Brighton)
Chelsea loanee Colwill was commanding in Brighton's superb 3-0 win at title-chasing Arsenal and really showed why he is one of the Premier League's most promising defenders.
The 20-year-old showcased his excellent range of passing and used his pace effectively to deal with Gunners live wire Gabriel Jesus.
Pervis Estupinan (Brighton)
Equally as solid as his teammate Colwill, Estupinan proved to be a difficult one to handle for Arsenal up and down the left flank.
A robust showing from the Ecuador international was capped with an assist for Julio Enciso's opener before he found the net himself for Brighton's third goal, keying the rebound from Deniz Undav's initial effort.
Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace)
Eze is continuing to sparkle under Roy Hodgson as he scored twice in Palace's straightforward win over Bournemouth.
The 24-year-old nudged the Eagles ahead before he fired in an effort into the top corner after cutting in from the left and drifting between a number of bodies.
Ilkay Gundogan (Manchester City)
When it comes to the crunch, Gundogan is a man that often thrives and he is hitting those heights again with Manchester City strengthening their grip on the Premier League summit.
It looked as if City would have to remain patient to break Everton down, but Gundogan took the game by the scruff of the neck and had a hand in all three goals as they breezed past the Toffees.
The German broke the deadlock with an instinctive flicked finish, put a cross right on the head of Erling Haaland and curled in a free-kick to seal the points early in the second half.
Curtis Jones (Liverpool)
Jones appears to have found his scoring touch recently to help Liverpool keep their late-season march going.
He scored twice in the win at Leicester, first finishing clinically at the back post before converting a beautiful half-volley for his second.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
He never managed to get on the scoresheet, but Salah still had a big impact on proceedings by setting up all three Liverpool goals - a first in the Egyptian's career.
Salah first spotted Jones' run towards the back post, poked a pass for the midfielder's second and rolled a free kick back for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who converted from the edge of the penalty area.
Taiwo Awoniyi (Nottingham Forest)
It hasn't been the easiest of seasons for Awoniyi, but the Nigerian has found form at a good time with Forest teetering above the relegation zone.
The 25-year-old scored twice for Steve Cooper's side as they valiantly claimed a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, proving himself to be a bit of a handful.
Raheem Sterling (Chelsea)
Sterling has been one of a number of Chelsea players to have struggled this term, although he had an enjoyable afternoon against Forest by popping up with two goals.
The former Liverpool and Man City forward looked like his old self, finishing first time and then curling an effort after cutting inside.
