Premier League Team of the Week: Haaland picks up where he left off
Last campaign, players were selected based on opinions on performances, but this year Flashscore's official player ratings - based on data, with 10 being the highest score possible - will be used to determine who is selected.
GK - Bernd Leno, 9.4 (Fulham)
Fulham were under pressure for the majority of their game away at Everton, but they still managed to come away with a 1-0 win and much of that was down to Bernd Leno.
The German made nine saves during the game and has the highest rating of any player across the weekend.
DEF - Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 8.4 (Manchester United)
Despite not being known for his attacking output, Aaron Wan-Bissaka was involved at both ends of the pitch in Manchester United's 1-0 win against Wolves and actually provided a bit of a creative outlet for the home side.
Wan-Bissaka set up Raphael Varane's winner, provided three key passes and put in some solid defensive work - a good all-round display from the fullback.
DEF - Joachim Andersen, 8.2 (Crystal Palace)
Crystal Palace showed no signs of missing Wilfried Zaha on the weekend, beating Sheffield United 1-0 away from home.
Much of their good play was built from the back, with Joachim Andersen offering a superb range of passing as well as playing his part in limiting the home side to just one shot on target.
DEF - Craig Dawson, 8.0 (Wolves)
Wolves were unlucky to lose to Manchester United on Monday evening and deserved to take something from the game - they were the better side for long periods of the match.
Craig Dawson had an excellent game and kept the United attack relatively quiet throughout, making two blocks, two tackles and even a goal-line clearance.
DEF - Pervis Estupinan, 8.7 (Brighton)
Brighton defender Pervis Estupinan excelled in the Seagull's 4-1 win against Luton, putting in solid showings at both ends of the pitch.
Estupinan provided an assist while also being reliable defensively, earning himself an 8.7 rating, the highest of any defender over the weekend.
MID - James Maddison, 8.7 (Tottenham Hotspur)
Two assists for James Maddison in Spurs' 2-2 draw with Brentford sees him earn a place in our Team of the Week.
The attacking midfielder stood out on his debut for the north London club and looks to be a shrewd addition to their midfield.
MID - Rodri, 8.7 (Manchester City)
City were back to their usual ways against Burnley, netting three goals as they kicked off the Premier League season in style.
Rodri set up the first with a lovely header across goal, before pouncing on a loose ball to seal all three points in the second half - all while being his normal, reliable self in the middle of the pitch throughout the match.
MID - Eberechi Eze, 8.3 (Crystal Palace)
The second of three Palace players to make the team, Eberechi Eze stole the show in the Eagles' win against Sheffield United.
He was a constant threat throughout, showing off expert dribbling as well as superb chance creation - the youngster will be key to the majority of the London side's success this season.
MID - Jarrod Bowen, 8.5 (West Ham)
For all West Ham's struggles in the transfer market this summer, their Europa Conference League hero was on hand to lift the mood during their opening match against Bournemouth.
Jarrod Bowen's long-range strike gave the Hammers a valuable lead, and was the highlight of the match, although they did have to settle for a 1-1 draw in the end.
FWD - Erling Haaland, 8.2 (Manchester City)
Erling Haaland was the other standout performer in City's 3-0 win against Burnley, scoring twice in the first half and earning himself an 8.2 rating.
The goals highlighted his instinctive finishing and if his first game was anything to go by, it could be another incredible season for the Norwegian.
FWD - Odsonne Edouard, 8.1 (Crystal Palace)
Odsonne Edouard rounds off the Team of the Week after netting the only goal in Palace's 1-0 win against Sheffield United.
An unfortunate offside call meant his tally was limited to just one, but the Frenchman still bagged the winner in Yorkshire and will have a big role to play in leading the line for the rest of the season.
