The penultimate weekend of Premier League action has now passed, with Manchester City lifting a third consecutive title and Nottingham Forest confirming their place in the top flight for another season.

Newcastle made their Champions League position official, Brighton also secured their first ever European finish, while Everton kept their survival hopes alive through a 99th minute equaliser against Wolves.

There were plenty of huge moments during the weekend's action, and here is who made it into Flashscore's Team of the Week.

GK - Stefan Ortega (Manchester City)

The German shot stopper has played second fiddle to Ederson all season, but with the league title already confirmed following Arsenal's 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, City could afford to rotate and give their squad players a chance during their 1-0 win over Chelsea1-0 win over Chelsea.

Ortega took his chance to impress and made six saves against the Blues, helping his side to a 13th league clean sheet - while also earning himself an 8.3 rating for the match.

DEF - Jonny Evans (Leicester City)

Despite putting in a terrible showing offensively, Leicester actually defended brilliantly in their 0-0 draw against Newcastle.

Evans stepped up with a superb performance at the back, helping the Foxes earn what could be a valuable point in their fight for survival.

The defender picked up a 7.1 match rating and likely left Leicester fans wondering what position they would be in had he been fit for the entire season.

DEF - Joe Worrall (Nottingham Forest)

Nottingham Forest needed a win against second-placed Arsenal to confirm their Premier League survival, and they achieved just that with a hard-fought 1-0 victory.

Key to their triumph was a rock solid defence, with captain Worrall at the heart of their battling performance.

The defender was named man of the match after keeping the Gunners at bay and helping to secure Premier League status for another season.

DEF - Luke Shaw (Manchester United)

Manchester United all-but secured their spot in the top four and next season's Champions League following their 1-0 win against Bournemouth - now needing just a point from their remaining two games.

Shaw, like he has done all season, put in an excellent defensive performances and helped United to a valuable victory and a 17th clean sheet for the campaign which confirmed his goalkeeper David de Gea as the winner of the Golden Glove.

MID - Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford)

Brentford were rocked during the week by news that star player Ivan Toney had been handed an eight month ban for breaking rules surrounding gambling but it didn't prove to be an issue as they came from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1.

Mbeumo stepped up in the absence of Toney and netted two goals in 12 minutes for the Bees as they confirmed a top half finish in only their second ever Premier League season - with a European spot still up for a grabs.

MID - Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa)

Villa picked up an impressive 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Saturday, as their late charge for a European spot continued.

Central to the majority of their good work at Anfield was Luiz who contributed both offensively and defensively, creating three chances and providing the assist for Jacob Ramsey's opener.

He also made three tackles, two clearances and six recoveries.

MID - Declan Rice (West Ham United)

Rice appeared to be playing his final game at the London Stadium for his beloved West Ham and put in a performance to be proud of if that were to be his last farewell to the home supporters.

The midfielder gave Hammers fans the best possible parting-gift (with it being widely believed that he will leave during the summer transfer window), scoring in their 3-1 win against Leeds.

Aside from the goal, Rice dominated the midfield and was a force at both ends of the pitch - ending with a 7.9 match rating.

MID - Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest)

While the defensive solidity of Forest has already been mentioned, they were also a threat on the counter-attack all game during their win against Arsenal.

This threat largely came from Gibbs-White who used his pace and skill to drive the team up the pitch.

He even pounced on a rare Martin Odegaard mistake to spring clear and play in Emmanuel Dennis to score the only goal of the game.

MID - Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United)

Bowen excelled in West Ham's 3-1 win against Leeds, scoring once and providing an assist as the Hammers continued their good run of form.

His showing earned him an 8.6 match rating, with the Englishman hitting form at the right time with his side securing their place in the Premier League next season and approaching a historic European final.

FWD - Aleksander Mitrovic (Fulham)

Mitrovic started his first Premier League game in 11 weeks after serving an eight match suspension, and was back with a bang as he scored twice in Fulham's 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

The Cottagers' point as well as Chelsea's loss to City meant that they confirmed a top half finish for their first season back in the top division - despite many tipping them to go straight back down to the Championship.

FWD - Evan Ferguson (Brighton)

Brighton confirmed their place in the Europa League with a comfortable 3-1 win against bottom club Southampton, with young striker Ferguson continuing his fine start to life in the Premier League by scoring another two goals.

The Irishman now has six goals from just 18 appearances in the league, and will surely be key to the Seagulls' future success after signing a new five-year contract.
