Premier League Team of the Week: Solanke and Semenyo make impact up top

Another weekend of Premier League football is in the books and there were plenty of twists and turns served up this time.

The big results saw Bournemouth take down champions Manchester City after Arsenal were beaten by Newcastle, while there were wins for Liverpool, Tottenham and high-flying Nottingham Forest.

As usual, Flashscore has taken a look at which players performed best this weekend, compiling the Team of the Week using our dedicated player ratings system.

GK – Mark Flekken, 7.9 (Brentford)

Brentford's Mark Flekken is between the sticks after his busy Monday night at London rivals Fulham.

The Dutchman made a whopping 10 saves but was unable to prevent Brentford eventually losing out 2-1 in the dying embers of the game.

DEF – Ola Aina, 8.3 (Nottingham Forest)

Ola Aina made his mark with an all-action display for Nottingham Forest as they continued their strong start to the season with a 3-0 win over West Ham.

He hit a stunning long-range strike to open his account and top off a very strong performance, which also saw him win three tackles and six duels.

DEF – Kenny Tete, 8.1 (Fulham)

Kenny Tete put together a solid outing in Fulham's last-gasp comeback against Brentford.

He won a match-high eight duels as well as making three interceptions and clearances apiece.

DEF – Antonee Robinson, 8.2 (Fulham)

Tete's fellow defensive teammate Antonee Robinson had a big part to play in Fulham's win, recording the assist for Harry Wilson's winner.

The American clipped an inviting ball into the box onto the head of Wilson who did the rest.

DEF – Leif Davis, 8.5 (Ipswich)

Leif Davis put in a performance to remember on his 100th appearance for Ipswich in their 1-1 draw at home to Leicester.

While also creating three chances and winning eight duels, the left-back fired in a beautiful volley to initially put the Tractor Boys ahead.

MID – Bruno Fernandes, 8.2 (Manchester United)

Bruno Fernandes knitted things together in the Manchester United midfield as they drew 1-1 against Chelsea under the guidance of interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Portuguese created four chances, won 10 duels and three tackles and confidently put away a second-half penalty.

MID – Joao Gomes, 8.1 (Wolves)

Brazilian midfielder Joao Gomes put in the work as winless Wolves were held to a 2-2 draw by fellow strugglers Crystal Palace.

Gomes won a match-high 11 duels, created three chances, completed three dribbles and scored to put Wolves ahead.

MID – Callum Hudson-Odoi, 8.2 (Nottingham Forest)

Callum Hudson-Odoi enjoyed his outing against West Ham after netting a fantastic goal in the second half.

While also creating four chances, the 23-year-old got on the scoresheet after cutting in and curling a lovely shot into the corner.

FWD – Antoine Semenyo, 8.3 (Bournemouth)

Antoine Semenyo's form has continued to trend upward after a commanding performance for Bournemouth as they stunned Manchester City 2-1.

The Ghanaian forward did a bit of everything, winning 11 duels and creating three chances after setting the tone by opening the scoring.

FWD – Dominic Solanke, 8.3 (Tottenham)

Dominic Solanke came alive in the second half alongside his Tottenham teammates as they recovered to romp past Aston Villa 4-1.

The Spurs striker scored twice, first chipping beautifully over Emiliano Martinez before smashing in a second goal from in close.

FWD – Son Heung-min, 8.3 (Tottenham)

Returning from injury, Son Heung-min impressed in Spurs' win despite playing less than an hour against Villa.

He came away with an assist to draw Spurs level, delivering an inviting cross into the six-yard box which was slammed home by Brennan Johnson.
