GK: Jose Sa, 7.7 (Wolves)

Kicking off this week's team with Jose Sa, who backstopped Wolves' impressive 2-1 win at home to champions Manchester City.

The Portuguese was kept busy at Molineux making seven saves as City fired 23 attempts at goal, but his efforts were enough to earn Wolves a big three points.

DEF: Kieran Trippier, 8.9 (Newcastle)

It seems to be a regular thing for Kieran Trippier these days with the 33-year-old right-back excelling against his former side in Newcastle's 2-0 win over Burnley.

Picking up an 8.9 rating, Trippier added another assist to his collection - his fourth of the campaign - and created a game-high five chances for his teammates.

DEF: Vladimir Coufal, 8.5 (West Ham)

Vladimir Coufal enjoyed his afternoon against Sheffield United as West Ham ran out comfortable 2-0 winners at the London Stadium.

The Czechia international was part of a back line that kept a clean sheet while he recorded the assist for the Hammers' opening goal with a cutback from the right flank.

DEF: Joachim Andersen, 8.4 (Crystal Palace)

A masterclass in defending and attacking saw Joachim Andersen put in a stellar display as Crystal Palace condemned Manchester United to a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford.

Andersen was a rock in defence, but it was going forward where he shone - his match-winning goal a thumping first-time finish as the Eagles piled more problems on United.

DEF: Levi Colwill, 8.1 (Chelsea)

Levi Colwill produced a poised display as the Blues earned West London bragging rights with a 2-0 win over Fulham.

The 20-year-old was involved up and down the pitch and tallied his name on the assist sheet, with his clipped ball into the box finding Mykhaylo Mudryk to score his first Chelsea goal.

DEF: Alfie Doughty, 8.6 (Luton)

Luton are off the mark in the Premier League after holding out for a 2-1 win at Everton and left-sider Alfie Doughty played a vital role in the Hatters' three points.

An all-action display at left wing-back saw the 23-year-old create six chances for his teammates, which was a league-high across the weekend.

Doughty's delivery from crosses was extremely key, first his ball into the box causing chaos for Luton's opener through Tom Lockyer, before an accurate free kick found Carlton Morris.

Matty Cash, 8.2 (Aston Villa)

The result of the weekend saw Aston Villa demolish Brighton 6-1 and Matty Cash put in a solid performance.

Cash helped get the scoring party underway with his perfect low ball into the box met by Ollie Watkins, who tapped in simply.

He also won four tackles and nine of his 11 duels in the match.

Bruno Guimaraes, 8.1 (Newcastle)

Running the show against Burnley, Bruno Guimaraes was all over the pitch as he dominated the midfield battle.

The Brazil international created five chances, completed two dribbles and won four tackles - all of which were the most of any player in the match.

James Ward-Prowse, 8.4 (West Ham)

James Ward-Prowse seems to be making a bit of a habit of appearing in these and it is yet another well-deserved appearance after his display against Sheffield United.

He may not have registered a goal contribution on this occasion but the former Southampton man was all-action, creating six chances, completing 95 per cent of his passes and winning two tackles.

Martin Odegaard, 9.5 (Arsenal)

A real captain's performance from Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard in their 4-0 win at Bournemouth earned him a monster 9.5 player rating.

The Norwegian was involved in two of the Gunners' four goals, first converting a first-half penalty and then providing the assist for Ben White's late header with a curling free kick.

Odegaard created three chances - two of which were big chances - and completed 89 per cent of his passes.

Ollie Watkins, 9.6 (Aston Villa)

To no one's surprise, Ollie Watkins leads the line after his stellar performance in the thrashing of Brighton, with his 9.6 rating the highest of any player this week.

Watkins continued his torment of the Seagulls with a fine hat-trick before laying on an assist for Jacob Ramsey's second-half strike in the rout.

The 27-year-old took six shots in total, created five chances and completed two dribbles in what turned out to be a lights-out display at Villa Park.
