Napoli: the new champions of Italy. The storied Campania city, home of the Partenopei, was the scene of some spectacular celebrations in the aftermath of of the club's historic Serie A title win.

They had to wait an extra couple of match-days to finally clinch the Scudetto, hardly a crime after being so patient for 33 years.

Lazio - now 16 points behind Napoli - beat Sassuolo two days ago to prolong the wait, meaning the Partenopei required at least a point away at Udinese last night.

It looked as if the delay would go on, when Luciano Spalletti's side went 1-0 down in the first half, but a second-half Victor Osimhen equaliser rounded off the result and secured the precious point.

Over 10,000 fans travelled to Udine, but tens (if not hundreds) of thousands more filled the streets back at home to celebrate their heroes' triumph.

Take a browse through the gallery below of the Neapolitan faithful.
