Mario Balotelli set to join Serie A club Genoa until end of season
Former Manchester City and Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is set to join Serie A club Genoa until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The Italian has been without a club since the end of last season, when he left Turkish outfit Adana Demirspor.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Balotelli will sign a contract with Genoa valid until June 2025.
Romano says the 34-year-old had been waiting 20 days for the deal to be agreed.
Balotelli is said to have already spoken with Genoa boss Alberto Gilardino several times and is giving up 'salary conditions' in order to return to Italy.
