Freddie Flintoff taken to hospital after accident while filming Top Gear
Andrew Flintoff was taken to hospital on Tuesday morning after being involved in an accident while working on the latest series of the motoring show.
In a statement, a BBC spokesperson said: "Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning - with crew medics attending the scene immediately.
"He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course."
Former England cricket star and Ashes hero Flintoff has presented the BBC show since 2019.
The popular star retired from international cricket in 2009 having played 79 Tests, 141 one-day internationals and seven T20s for England, as well as being a key figure for the Ashes winning sides of 2005 and 2009.
After retiring fully in 2010, Flintoff tried his hand at professional boxing where he had one bout, before returning to play Twenty20 cricket for Lancashire and Brisbane Heat in Australia's Big Bash League in 2014.
