Martin Gould has revealed he could be dealing with a knee injury, but it didn't deter him as he beat Ronnie O'Sullivan 4-1 at the English Open.

It was the 41-year-old's first win over "the Rocket", impressing with breaks of 60, 57 and 61 on the way to victory.

After his win over O'Sullivan, Gould offered up an explaination as to why he's had a relatively quiet season thus far.

Speaking to Eurosport, he said: "I’ve had to manage a couple of things away from the game; I injured my knee before the season started and I have to have injections in it.

"Sometimes I can’t even walk. Luckily I don’t need surgery, but it’s the right knee so I’m limited to an hour or an hour-and-a-half practice. I can up it a bit after an injection, but it’s not been great."

Gould is next in action against Ashley Hugill tonight - follow it here with Flashscore.
