Hearts confirm signing of Australian forward Garang Kuol
Scottish club Hearts have confirmed the signing of Australian forward Garang Kuol from Premier League side Newcastle.
The 18-year-old signed a pre-contract agreement with the Magpies in September last year, officially joining the club earlier this month.
Kuol played for Central Coast Mariners in Australia, where he'd progressed through youth ranks, before moving to the UK.
The forward made his senior debut in December 2021 and scored six goals in 18 A-League appearances.
Kuol will wear the number 61 shirt at Hearts.
The teenager joins fellow Australia international players Nathaniel Atkinson, Cameron Devlin and Kye Rowles at Tynecastle Park.
Kuol has made three senior appearances for the Socceroos, but is yet to score his first goal.
Hearts are next in action against St Mirren tomorrow in the Premiership.
