Kings League set for big return and Queens League kicks off
After the success of the inaugural phase of the Kings League, which filled Camp Nou with its final four, the league returns with renewed air. Things have changed and the teams even more because of a 'Mercato' that has delighted fans during the break between 'splits'.
The calendar is capricious and for the return of the competition, the organisers have a rematch of the first final in the history of the competition on the same Matchday 1. That leaves Juan Guarnizo's Aniquiladores FC looking for revenge against Adri Contreras' El Barrio.
Another of Sunday's interesting duels is the one that will open the second half of the Kings League, as Perxitaa's Los Troncos will face Spursito's Rayo de Barcelona. The clash has a strong emotional charge, as Edgar Álvaro, one of the league's best players, will meet his former team in a new shirt.
That will be on May 7th. A day prior, the Queens League will make its debut in style, giving the girls a chance to showcase their skills. After a draft in which the presidents and chairwomen configured their squads, it's time to see who did the best.
Undoubtedly, the most attractive date of the debut of the League of Queens is the one that has as rivals Porcinas FC of Gemita and Ibai Llanos and Kunitas FC of Morena Beltrán and 'Kun' Agüero.
The first rounds of the Kings and Queens League will take place on May 7th and 6th respectively. Six consecutive matches can be followed live from the Cupra Arena. They can also be watched through the Twitch channel of the Kings League itself and the content creators participating in each of them.
