Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed midfielder Thiago Alcantara is fit to face Leeds United in the Premier League this weekend.

The Reds will be without several first-team stars for the clash with Leeds at Anfield, but have been handed a boost in midfield.

Thiago has recovered from an ear infection that kept him out of Liverpool's 3-0 win over Ajax in the Champions League.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Klopp confirmed the Spain international "is back", but there is a slight wait on the fitness of Reds captain Jordan Henderson.

The 32-year-old took a blow to his knee in the aforementioned match against Ajax and was immediately removed from play.

"It's a knock, he was a bit stiff yesterday [and] had treatment, so we will see how he will be today. I expect him to be okay, to be honest," said Klopp.

Naby Keita and Joel Matip are not yet available, while Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Arthur Melo are all expected to sit out long-term.

Ibrahima Konate returned for Liverpool earlier this week and is, once again, fit to play.
