British cruiserweight fighter Lawrence Okolie is returning to the boxing ring for the first time in nearly a year to defend his WBO belt against New Zealander David Light on March 25th.

Both fighters are undefeated - with Okolie still yet to lose a fight since making his professional debut in 2017.

The 28-year-old has a 15-0 record with 12 of those wins coming from early stoppages, while his opponent is currently 20-0.

Light comes into the bout as a relative unknown but has an impressive professional record and will be hoping to claim his first world title.

Regardless of his opponent's history, Okolie was confident of his own chances to extend his own unbeaten record.

"I'll make light work of him," he told Sky Sports.

"It's good to be back and I'm looking forward to the first step in the journey towards unifications and more world titles."

The other cruiserweight titles are currently held by Jai Opetaia (Ring and IBF), Ilunga Makabu (WBC) and Arsen Goulamirian (WBA).
