Marcelo Bielsa arrives in London for talks with Everton on manager role
The 67-year-old is understood to have reservations about the competency of the squad to play his high-tempo style of football as well as taking over half way through the season.
However Bielsa arrived at London Heathrow earlier on Thursday suggesting a deal could be close.
It is being reported the Toffees are keen to appoint a manager by the weekend with ex-Burnley manager Sean Dyche also selected among a shortlist of candidates.
Everton are on the hunt for their eigth manager in seven years after sacking Frank Lampard after Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at West Ham.
The Toffees are currently 19th in the league with 15 points from 20 games having won just three matches all season.
