McGregor 'got away with his life' after being knocked off bike
The 34-year-old posted a video on his social media accounts shortly after the incident occurred
The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion claimed his years of martial arts training helped him avoid any serious harm.
"Got a bang of a car just now from behind. A sun trap, the driver couldn't see me," McGregor said on his Instagram.
"Full speed straight through me. Thank you God, it wasn't my time.
"Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life."
McGregor later posted more footage of the incident, with the car's driver apologising profusely before later giving 'Notorious' a lift home with his damaged bike.
The Irishman has not fought since seriously breaking his leg in a defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021.
He has since been removed from USADA's testing pool, which means he is currently unable to compete in the UFC.
McGregor has signalled his intent to return to the Octagon in 2023, stating he plans to enter the testing pool prior to making a comeback to MMA later this year.
