19:20 BST - The gymnastics is over and it's no medal for Team in GB.

Japan's Shinnosuke Oka emerged the surprise winner of the Olympic men's gymnastics all-around title, China's Zhang Boyeng took silver with his compatriot Xiao Ruoteng in bronze.

Joe Fraser comes fifth and Jake Jarman seventh in a very high quality.

18:50 BST - If you fancy some tennis action, Spain's 'Nadalcaraz' are up against USA's Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram in the men's doubles tournament - which you can follow live here.

17:50 BST - We're over halfway through the men's individual all-around final, with Fraser and Jarman putting in some good showings so far and still in touching distance of a podium finish for Team GB.

17:00 BST - Mallory Franklin makes a bad mistake in the canoe slalom final and won't be picking up a medal for Team GB. She's handed a heavy time penalty and won't be pushing the top three.

16:13 BST - The men's individual all-around gymnastics final will begin shortly at around 16:30 with Joe Fraser and Jake Jarman are representing Team GB.

Mallory Franklin also has a shot at Olympic glory in the canoe slalom finals that also begin in around 15 minutes - although the Briton isn't set to race until 16:48.

15:43 BST - Another heartwarming story from Prais 2024; Adriana Ruano Oliva has won Guatemala's first-ever Olympic gold medal after her superb performance in the women's trap shooting.

15:34 BST - Carlos Alcaraz picks up a solid win against Roman Safiullin, cruising to a 6-4, 6-2 victory to set up a quarter-final clash against Tommy Paul.

15:08 BST - There's a little bit of a break from the medal action for Team GB now, but the Olympics still roll on elsewhere with plenty of tennis, judo and sailing going on as well as some other sports.

Get a better look at this afternoon's sport with our daily Olympic schedule.

14:36 BST - Take a closer look at Novak Djokovic's win - as well as the remaining tennis action still to come - in our report here.

14:30 BST - It's silver for Kieran Reilly, who puts in two excellent runs but can't quite catch Jose Torres Gil who takes gold with a huge score of 94.82.

A dejected Anthony Jeanjean wins the bronze medal despite a shocking crash in his first run.

13:55 BST - It's complete chaos in the men's BMX final, with three of the favourites behind Reilly crashing out during their first runs - Team GB's reigning world champion finishes off the first round with a huge score of 93.70 to put him in the silver medal position.

13:33 BST - It's time for the men's BMX freestyle final, with Team GB's Kieran Reilly the clear favourite for the event.

Riders will get two runs to show off their skills and whoever finishes with the highest score from either of the rounds will take the gold medal.

Team GB's Luke Greenbank disqualified in men's swimming 200m backstroke heats.

12:05 BST - What a morning that was for Team GB. Medals in every event they competed in, including two excellent late comebacks to secure gold in both the men's triathlon and the women's quadruple sculls rowing.

We'll have a rundown of everything to come this afternoon shortly.

Yee wins gold

11:45 BST - Wow! It's a photo finish in the women's quadruple sculls but Team GB have won gold! It's another excellent Olympic comeback for Great Britain, who win it by 0.15 seconds.

11:40 BST - Agony for Team GB and the men's rowing team, who miss out on a medal in the quadruple sculls by less than two seconds.

The women's team are up next, looking to seal a podium spot in Paris.

11:30 BST - What a sprint from Yee! He steams past Wilde on the final corner to win an Olympic gold medal in the men's triathlon with an incredible finish.

It looked like Wilde's to lose after opening up a huge gap but Britain's Yee has just put in a performance for the ages over the last few hundred metres to seal another gold for Team GB.

11:20 BST - Alex Yee currently finds himself in second spot heading into the final few kilometres of the men's triathlon, a fair bit away from first place but also should be far enough ahead of the chasing pack to secure himself a medal.

New Zealand's Hayden Wilde is heading for gold and barring a huge effort from Yee, should secure first place for his country.

11:05 BST - Here are the final standings from the women's 10m synchronised diving - a top performance as usual from China and an excellent third-place score for Team GB!

10:57 BST - Britain are famously strong in rowing events and have another shot at gold medals this morning in both the men's and women's quadruple sculls. Those races are coming up in around 30 minutes

10:50 BST - Bronze for Spendolini-Sirieix and Toulson! They set a high bar for the other nations to follow after a superb fifth dive with only China (gold) and North Korea (silver) overtaking them in the final round - medal number 14 for Team GB.

10:35 BST - Time for a medal update! Yee is in the leading pack in the men's triathlon as we move past the halfway point of the 40 km cycle and has a great shot at a medal.

In diving, Team GB currently find themselves in third but will need a strong dive in the final round to give themselves the best chance of a top-three finish - China lead the way by a country mile and are all-but guaranteed a gold medal after some incredible dives in the first four rounds.

10:00 BST - Away from the triathlon, Team GB also has a shot at medals in the women's 10m synchronised diving; Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix - daughter to famous chef Fred Sirieix - and Lois Toulson will compete for Britain.

09:45 BST - Here we go with the men's triathlon! The competitors have just entered the Seine, beginning the first part of the race with a 1.5km swim before cycling 40km and then finishing off with a 10km run.

Alex Yee and Sam Dickinson are competing for Team GB - the first Olympics in 20 years that doesn't feature either of the famous Brownlee brothers.

09:00 BST - Potter holds on for third place in the women's triathlon! She wins Team GB's 13th medal in Paris, while Cassandre Beaugrand takes the gold for France on home soil.

08:33 BST - The final leg of the triathlon is underway as competitors try to tackle a 10-kilometre run, with Potter and Taylor-Brown occupying fourth and fifth spots - agonisingly close to a podium spot.

Elsewhere, Team GB has athletes involved in this morning's shooting events and will be represented in the upcoming men's triathlon by Alex Yee and Sam Dickinson.

08:04 BST - We've just passed the hour mark in the women's triathlon, with both Potter and Taylor-Brown still in with strong chances of medals as the cycling element of the event continues.

07:35 BST - Time for a quick triathlon update; Team GB's Potter and Taylor-Brown lead a chasing pack as the cycling element of the race continues, although Bermuda's Flora Duffy is far out in front, completely on her own.

The chasing pack has her in their sights but the Bermudian holds a 20-second lead as the second lap of the cycling begins.

07:22 BST - Ireland's Rory McIlroy has admitted he is eyeing what would likely be his biggest win of the last decade at the Olympics.

"It would be the achievement, certainly of the year, if not - I think for me, it's well documented that I haven't won one of the big four in 10 years," he told reporters on Tuesday.

"It would probably be one of, if not the biggest in my career for the last 10 years...

"I'd say my focus is pretty high. The last time you guys saw me, I didn't give a very good account of myself at Troon. I want to make sure I'm right where I need to be teeing off on Thursday."
