How did Premier League stars fare over the international break?
A whole host of Premier League players featured over the weekend, with many starring for their respective counrties.
But how did they do? We take a look at the main winners and losers.
England duty
Out of 28 players in the England squad, 26 came from the Premier League with Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham of Serie A not featuring in England's games against Italy or Germany.
The likes of Bukayo Saka, Reece James and Jude Bellingham all impressed, but Harry Maguire and Nick Pope were amongst those who struggled, and plenty of key players didn't feature at all, including Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The international break as a whole was disappointing for the Three Lions, who lost 1-0 to Italy and drew 3-3 against Germany, despite at one stage coming from 2-0 down to lead 3-2.
Nations League
Elsewhere, Aleksander Mitrovic scored four times for Serbia, including a hat-trick against Sweden.
Virgil van Dijk scored the only goal of the game as the Netherlands beat Belgium.
Right back Diogo Dalot popped up with two goals for Portugal in their 4-0 win against the Czech Republic, scoring alongside Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes and Liverpool rival Diogo Jota.
Cristiano Ronaldo didn't fare too well, coming under fire from supporters for his poor performance in a 1-0 defeat to Spain.
Denmark's Christian Eriksen scored in their opening game against Croatia and put in a man of the match display in their second, against France, where he created eight chances - a 2022/23 Nations League record.
Scotland selected 11 Premier League players, all of which will be delighted with their nation's promotion to Nations League group A.
Wales had the opposite fate, being relegated from their group, although a host of players got to feature for the national team in their defeats to Belgium and Poland.
South America
No fewer than 12 Premier League players joined the Brazil squad, with Richarlison netting twice in a 3-0 victory against Ghana before scoring and assisting in their 5-1 win over Tunisia. The Tottenham striker started alongside Liverpool's Allison and Thiago Silva, Man Utd's Fred and Casemiro and West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
The likes of Fred and Fabinho were also involved, but headlines were marred by matters off the pitch with the racial abuse Richarlison suffered against Tunisia.
Manchester City's Julian Alvarez scored for Argentina in their 3-0 win against Jamaica, with Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez keeping a clean sheet.
Lisandro Martinez also kept a clean sheet in their other match, a 3-0 win against Honduras.
For Colombia, Leeds' Luis Sinisterra netted three times in two games as they beat Guatemala and Mexico.
Uruguay struggled over the weekend, losing 1-0 to Iran, but bounced back with a 2-0 win against Canada. Goalscorer Darwin Nunez the hero for the Sky Blues, who should return to Liverpool full of confidence.
