Premier League Team of the Week: Cancelo, Mount and Martinelli feature
Hugo Lloris (35) - Tottenham
Lloris produced a solid display to help Tottenham earn a clean sheet in their 1-0 win at Brighton.
With four saves, including two smart ones to deny Moises Caicedo and Danny Welbeck, the Frenchman bounced back well from his error in the north London derby defeta to Arsenal.
Kieran Trippier (32) - Newcastle
Trippier continued to demonstrate why he is a key part of Eddie Howe's Newcastle side in their 5-1 demolition of Brentford.
He added another goal contribution to his name by providing an excellent ball in for the Magpies' opener as his cross was met by Bruno Guimaraes.
Kalidou Koulibaly (31) - Chelsea
Chelsea are continuing to show improvements under Graham Potter and Koulibaly was assured in central defence as they beat Wolves 3-0.
A commanding display saw him win nine duels, four aerial duels and make five tackles to stifle the Wolves attack throughout at Stamford Bridge.
Eric Dier (28) - Tottenham
Centre-back Dier was rock solid for Spurs at Brighton and was a key figure towards nullifying the attack of their south coast opponents.
He marshalled the defence well to help his side return to winning ways after a tough previous two games.
Joao Cancelo (28) - Manchester City
Cancelo was his instrumental self as City powered to a 4-0 win over Southampton, tallying a goal and assist in the encounter.
His strike was typical of his talents, capping off a run from the halfway line with a clinical finish after faking away from the defending James Ward-Prowse.
Bruno Guimaraes (24) - Newcastle
Guimaraes has emerged as a fan favourite at Newcastle and he will have earned more with his display in the Magpies' 5-1 demolition of Brentford.
The Brazil international ran the show from midfield and notched two goals to his name with a header and driven effort from the edge of the penalty area.
Rodri (26) - Manchester City
Rodri was his usual, efficient self in the heart of City's midfield versus Southampton, registering 111 touches and completing 95 passes.
The Spaniard also threaded a beautiful ball into Riyad Mahrez for City's third goal in what was a very comfortable afternoon for Pep Guardiola's men.
Mason Mount (23) - Chelsea
Mount was a another beneficiary for Chelsea against Wolves and looked back to his creative best on Saturday.
The England midfielder has had a difficult start to the campaign but was constantly looking to get involved, while providing clever assists for Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic.
Bukayo Saka (21) - Arsenal
Arsenal enjoyed another top weekend by beating Liverpool 3-2 and star winger Saka was a livewire in a breathless match at the Emirates Stadium.
Saka was a constant threat down the right flank and tapped the Gunners ahead shortly before half-time, before scoring a composed winner from the penalty spot.
Gabriel Martinelli (21) - Arsenal
Another Arsenal man makes it into the team and there is little doubt about Martinelli's place after a dominant display against Liverpool's right-hand side.
The pacey Brazilian set Arsenal on the right path by opening the scoring inside one minute before turning provider for Saka late in the first half with some excellent wing play.
Phil Foden (22) - Manchester City
Foden has found a sweet spot in terms of form for City and is fast becoming undroppable for Pep Guardiola with another strong showing.
He added a superb goal and assist to move his overall contributions this term to nine in as many Premier League games.
