The Premier League served up another entertaining weekend with plenty of big results at both ends of the league table.

With another week in the books, it is time to look at the standout performers who have made Flashscore's Team of the Week.

GK - Bernd Leno (Fulham)

Bernd Leno is our man in goal this week for his superb display in Fulham’s resilient 1-0 win at Brighton.

The German saved seven shots in what was an onslaught from the hosts, doing enough to keep an unlikely clean sheet.

DEF -  Jan Bednarek (Southampton)

The post-Nathan Jones era started on the right foot for Southampton as they downed a struggling Chelsea side 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Poland international defender Jan Bednarek was key to the Saints’ victory with a brick wall performance making four tackles, two clearances and blocking two shots.

DEF - James Tarkowski (Everton)

Everton are slowly pulling themselves away from the threat of relegation and it can be put partly down to the recent performances of central defender James Tarkowski.

Tarkowski was his usual combative self in the Toffees' crucial 1-0 win against Leeds winning three aerial duels, making three blocks and four clearances as his side moved up to 16th in the table.

DEF - Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool)

It was a welcomed return to action for Virgil van Dijk, who slotted seamlessly back into the Liverpool defence ahead of their solid three points at high-flying Newcastle.

The Dutchman was a commanding figure at St James’ Park making seven clearances against the 10-man Magpies and completing 95.7 per cent of his passes.

MID - Emerson Royal (Tottenham)

Starting to become a prominent fixture in these sides, Emerson Royal made sure to continue his solid run of form.

He enjoyed his evening down the right flank in Tottenham’s 2-0 win over West Ham on Sunday and scored the game’s opening goal with a cool finish beyond Lukasz Fabianski.

Alongside his tally, Emerson created two chances and made five clearances.

MID - Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

Arguably the performance of the weekend came from Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes, who was his side’s creative force in their dominant 3-0 win over Leicester.

The Portuguese midfielder looked his brilliant best at Old Trafford making a whopping nine key passes, creating three big chances and ending the game with two assists.

Fernandes also did not let his defensive duties slip either, winning a match-high eight ground duels.

MID - James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)

He’s back again with yet another free-kick goal to add to his tally.

James Ward-Prowse’s strike from distance was all it took to separate Chelsea and Southampton but that was not the only positive from the midfielder’s display.

An all-action performance saw the England international make four clearances and interceptions each, win six duels and make two key passes for his teammates going forward.

MID - Martin Odegaard (Arsenal)

Arsenal got out of their recent blip against Aston Villa but were made to wait until second-half stoppage time to earn a 4-2 victory away from home.

Martin Odegaard continued his fine performances on the road with a typically creative display which saw him come out with another assist to his name.

Aside from missing a guilt-edged chance to put Arsenal ahead much earlier in the game, the Norwegian made seven key passes and created two big chances as the Gunners returned to the summit.

MID - Romain Perraud (Southampton)

Much like his Southampton teammate Bednarek, Romain Perraud was excellent against Chelsea.

The French left-back made six tackles and three clearances, which included denying an effort from Raheem Sterling off the goal line.

FWD - Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Bukayo Saka has become a regular name in these sides and he was influential once again for the table-toppers against Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old was a usual threat on the right wing and drew constant attention from the Villa players.

But his most important contribution was his superb half-volley to level the game at 1-1 with his fierce effort giving Emiliano Martinez no chance.

FWD - Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)

Another player that has found himself to be prevalent, but Marcus Rashford does not seem to be showing any signs of slowing down.

Another two goals against Leicester have taken his tally to an impressive 24 for the season and 13 in 14 games since the turn of the year.
