World snooker's defending champion, Ronnie O'Sullivan, survived a scare to get his Six-Red World Championship campaign in Bangkok, Thailand, underway on March 7th.

'The Rocket' took off to a 4-0 lead before his opponent, Jimmy Robertson, ranked No. 26, claimed three straight frames.

O'Sullivan recomposed himself after the seventh frame to win the eighth and the tie overall 5-3.

The world No. 1 then faced Stan Moody and won (5-2) and will now take on James Wattana (LIVE) in the afternoon of March 8th.

With two wins already under his belt, O'Sullivan has booked his place in the last 16.
