Gregor Townsend has made 14 changes to his Scotland line-up for Saturday's Test against Portugal at Murrayfield, with Glasgow centre Stafford McDowall captaining the team.

Tom Jordan is the only player to retain his place from the side that started the 32-15 defeat against South Africa, while talismanic wing Darcy Graham returns to the side after missing the Boks game with a head injury.

Glasgow lock Alex Samuel and Edinburgh back-row forward Ben Muncaster will both win their first caps as members of the starting pack.

Freddy Douglas, the 19-year-old Edinburgh back-rower who has never played a competitive game at senior club level, is in line to make his debut off the bench.
