Celtic beat St Johnstone 4-1 to keep their nine-point lead over Rangers at the top of the Premiership table.

The Celts dominated much of the proceedings, with an added emphasis on the opening period.

It was the 12th minute before St Johnstone were first broken down as Andrew Considine turned the ball into his own net.

Kyogo Furuhashi doubled Celtic's lead in just 10 minutes later with a fine effort.

But St Johnstone appeared to have found a way back into the match before the half-hour mark through Drey Wright.

Hopes were then dashed before the break by an Aaron Mooy goal for Celtic to make it 3-1.

David Turnbull finished off the scoring at the death of the second period, rubbing salt in Saints' wounds after Considine was shown a red card.
